Rejoinder- Re Nana Konadu for 2012 UK Group

The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter strongly disassociates itself from a recent statement published on Ghana web by a Group calling itself “Konadu for 2012 UK Group”

The Group which claimed to support Nana Konadu’s bid for the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress said in their statement that they were speaking on behalf of NDC members in the UK, including the NDC Executives across Europe.

As the NPP functionaries and global net works look for avenues to dampen the furore over their flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo’s recent unfortunate gaffes, reckless and irresponsible public pronouncements. Here is something from George Bush for them: "Anybody who is in a position to serve this country ought to understand the consequences of words."—George W. Bush, interview with Rush Limbaugh, Nov. 1, 2006.

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR INCITING VOILENCE, SAYS NDC USA

The NDC USA remains shocked at the quiet reaction of the Ghanaian Civil Society, concerning recent utterances by the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party. Nana Dankwa Akuffo is recorded as having stated that “… we Akans are not the cowards, we are perceived to be by other tribes.” He is also quoted as saying that, “the little violence that we displayed in Atiwa, is just a tip of the iceberg of what NPP will do in 2012”; and “ 2012 is going to be a 'do and die affair', after all, all die be die”
